Week 11! Hmm, finally, I am on time. Back on track!
This week has been very busy at work. We arrive at work late as per usual, we get off late. It was okay, though. Everyone worked their asses off to finish projects. To work on 300+ pages of final artworks. All good!
Starting this week, I am not just gonna post the list of the things I have used. It finally dawned on me that I should explain how the product worked on me during the week that I have used it. Maybe not for all products because it would be repetitive as I do this weekly and right now, my collection has been downsized. I was inspired by Serien Wu’s Makeup Monday. It will definitely be the same makeup capsule idea, with added thoughts that might help you decide if you’d also try out the same products on my list.
Without much further ado, here are the products I used this week.
Primer: The Body Shop Wonder Blur
This was already on my declutter pile but I noticed my pores has been obvious these days so I decided to bring this back to my collection even just for this week. It still works like it did the first time I used it. It controlled my oil and blurred out my pores.
Foundation: Maybelline Fit Me
Concealer: Maybelline Fit Me
Powder: Laura Mercier Translucent Powder
Bronzer: Urban Decay Beach Bronzer
Blush: Essence Matt Touch Blush
Eyeshadows: Pressed MAC Blue Brown + NARS Desdemona
I’ve been pretty lazy with my eye looks this past month. I’ve only been using one product and just blend it out. I even went to work with just eyeliner for a day because I just couldn’t be bothered to put on eye colors. NARS Desdemona is my go-to shadow when I am really lazy coz it doesn’t look flat on my eyes. Same with the Blue Brown pigment from MAC. I’ve only got to use this regularly when I pressed it.
Mascara: Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara (Green)
This one is new coz I just threw out my Majolica Majorca Lash King. My rule this year is: Lose 1, Get a new one. I am still not sure with how I feel about this mascara. I’ve had the pink version before which I loved, but this one doesn’t seem to build up properly. Maybe it’s still too wet for my preference? I’ll try it again next week!
Eyeliner: KPalette eyeliner
I’ve been trying to finish this since the year started and I have been using this since I got back from Manila last August! I have no complaints with this eyeliner. It works well, stays well.
Eyebrow: NYX Tinted Brown Mascara
Lipstick: Gerard Cosmetics 1995 + VMV Lip gloss in Tall & Tan
1995 is a gorgeous color but very drying on the lips. I never really liked lip glosses but this VMV lip gloss has a special spot in my heart because of the color and how it feels on the lips. It is not sticky at all! 10 points for VMV 🙂
That’s it for now, hope you liked my product choices this week. See you on the next post!
