I have been searching for a gentle makeup remover for years! The only thing that worked for me before was Biore’s makeup remover wipes which is oil based. Sadly, it’s not available here! I have tried a lot – Sephora, Maybelline, L’oreal, baby oils and even Bioderma and I have never been really impressed with anything until I tried Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I was kind of skeptical at first because I thought it will just be another one of those micellar cleansers that don’t work on me.

It is so gentle that it doesn’t sting my eye (Bioderma and L’oreal does! Even water makes my eyes really red!!!). It takes off my makeup really well, even my Benefit They’re Real mascara and eyeliner which are both known to be very difficult to take off. I don’t need to worry anymore about using super waterproof mascara because this melts it off miraculously. I don’t know how Garnier does it, but I’m glad they came up with this. It works well and it’s pretty cheap compared to Bioderma!

I just put some product on my cotton pad then put it over my eyes to melt off my eye makeup for about 5-10seconds and it takes off a lot! I go over my eyes couple of times just to make sure I take off everything before washing my face with my cleanser.

The only downside for me is that I use about 3-4 cotton pads for my whole face and neck, but I believe it’s just my cotton pads that absorb the product too much and gets easily filled with makeup gunk coz it’s pretty thin. I’ve been using for about 2 weeks (or 3) everyday and I’m already halfway through the bottle. It’s cheap, and for that, I will definitely repurchase!

  1. Hey Luna! just curious, how much is it exactly? 🙂 My current makeup remover is just a mixture of extra virgin olive oil and water. it works just fine. I just wated to try out something new ?

    nice blog! ♡

  2. It’s sad that this isn’t available in the Philippines yet (or so I think). I’ve actually been getting my Bioderma from either Singapore or Indonesia when I go visit and it does take quite a lot out of your pocket because I tend to use a lot. I know the Garnier one costs significantly lower. I can’t wait until it hits this part of the world!

  3. Yung Derma Sense ng safeguard, wagi sa pag-tanggal ng Maybelline mascara and ng gel eyeliner ko… but Maybelline isn’t a tough one to remove naman. I wanna try it on my Heroine Make mascara but I am scared cos even VCO can’t remove that!
